First Red Ninja Fest. First time in B-Side. First time to be invited to an event as a blogger.

It was April 2 at exactly 11 in the evening, I just finished the last bottle of beer I bought for a good night sleep when I saw Red Ninja's Productions post inviting interested photographers and bloggers for their upcoming 8th anniversary. "Why not?", said my brain. Constructed the most decent sentences I could in that state. Sent.

As a hobbyist blogger who just started a few months ago and who loves going to local gigs and music festival as well, being invited to blog for an event like this was really a big deal. Imagine the intensity for a certain person who loves to talk about almost everything trying to bottle everything up for days as I refuse to tell it to any of my friends because I might jinx it... I KNOW!

Thanks, Red Ninja Production for this awesome experience!

Here are the highlights of last weekend's event! Click this link to view all the photos I took from the event

Red Ninja Year 8 Fest Aftermovie

Banna Harbera started the show with their groovy tunes that left us dancing in the middle of a scorching day. They were part of Wanderband competition last March 2017. You may check their music here.

This awesome indie folk duo, Ben & Ben, just recently released a new music video for their song Ride Home. Check. It. Out.

"You never really love someone until you learn to forgive."

Bumped into these papis from Tandems 91 and Moonwlk and me was like...

Okay...back to work!

It was my first time to hear Coeli live and her music was really mesmerizing. You can check her here.

I've been a big fan this instrumental math rock band since I saw them live at one of Spur of The Moment's events 2 years ago. You can check Tide/Edit's music here. This guy may give you a shy type of guy impression when you see him around, but he's definitely a changed persona once he played on stage. They'll be playing as one of the local acts along with Tom's Story for TTNG + Mylets Live In Manila on May 2 at 19 East, Sucat.

I first saw Rob and the Hitmen live last March 31st at Route 196. You can check these awesome band here.

Same with Tide/Edit, the first time I saw this impressive 3-piece electro-funk band was during Jack Daniels Spur Of The Moment. I could still remember Tandems '91's cover of September by Earth, Wind, and Fire; it was really impossible to not like them after that set.

You can check their music here.

"Never a dull set with Moonwlk"

Even Red Ninja Productions agreed on this one. Moonwlk always knew how to hype even that person at the back who was too drunk to function.

This couple always give their best to surprise people by their awesome performance. Don't even get me started with Nick's extremely bizarre wardrobe on every set. I think he's the only one who can pull those off.

You can check their eclectic music here.

Now, who wouldn't find this cute, peculiar girl adorable on stage? Reese Lansangan, again, gave a heartwarming performance last Red Ninja Year 8 Fest.

Cute, eh?

This girl behind the hit songs "Grammar Nazi" and "Exploration No. 5" just recently released a new music video for her song St. Petersburg. Better to check it out!

Everyone who experienced the "emo phase" knows this band well. Typecast was one of those bands back in the '00s who's still conquering the stage and radio stations in and out of the country

I personally love this band not just the because of what they can offer once they get up and pull all the strings to trigger all the feels in you, but how awesome these people are behind the scene.

I was one of the lucky people who attended one of their Campfire Sessions. It was held in Crystal Beach, Zambales and I tell you, it was one of the highlights of my 2016. I wasn't able to be there on their 3rd Campfire Sessions in Dinadiawan, Aurora but I bet it was as great as the previous Campfire Sessions.

Kudos to Red Ninja Productions because they were able to gather both old and new bands in the scene. It's really nice to hear brand new music, and be nostalgic as well to hear some tunes back from high school/college days.

*cue* WILLLL YOU COME BACK IN A HEAAAARTBEAAAAAT???? *drinks beer, dies inside*

Be on the radar thru their Facebook page and pour those unwanted feels while listening to them on their Spotify.

The rain capped the night along with Jensen and Flips' Slow. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture the moment thru my lens because of technical difficulties but it was definitely marked on my mind (and tiny, fragile heart) until now. Everyone from Red Ninja Productions went on stage dancing and savoring the success of their 8th anniversary.

Some audience left and went to find some shed, but my friend and I were one of the few who stayed under the rain. I was taking my meds that night cause I was terribly sick, but who would let that moment pass when you were feeling like a kid again playing in the rain while dancing like there's no tomorrow (and now I'm coughing like there's NO TOMORROW!)? Well, at least I could say it was worth it.

Again, I wanna give my highest gratitude to Red Ninja Productions for giving me the opportunity to write for them.

It was a great experience!

Now...when was the last time you did something for the first time? :)
