Nagsasa & Chill: Nagsasa, Zambales 2017

This video summed up one of the best weekends so far. Hey 2017, you gots no chill pouring great stuff! Keep that coming!

Nagsasa had been on the radar of every beach bums for quite some time. The cove was blessed with both majestic view of highlands and beach. From the original plan of getting a private pool in Antipolo to pushing it through to one of the Zambales' pride, Nagsasa Cove.

It wasn't a secret anymore that I am one of those people who you can count on when you want to drag someone for an out of town trip. So when one of my officemates asked me to come with them for Antipolo-turned-to-Zambales, not even a drop of hesitation was seen on my face.

Nagsasa cove was one of the 4 islands where you can freely pitch your tent for a weekend. The other three were Anawangin, Talisayen, and Silanguin.

I've always heard that Nagsasa was the best among the four islands but for me, definitely had the most crowd. I couldn't remember having this amount of crowd when we went to Talisayen last year, which was the reason why I picked that island for that trip. But regardless of that, I would still go back to Nagsasa and chill.

Nothing beats that moment where you just let your body float on the sea while facing the mountains around you.

It was like having the best of both worlds.

Though it was my first time on the island, I could say that it was already revamped compared to Talisayen and most probably to Silanguin (which was the farthest among the islands in Zambales...my next target) given its popularity among folks.

There was already electricity and a mini store that sold bonfire stuff and offered some activities like cliff jumping, island hopping, etc. And since there was electricity (light pollution), I wasn't able to enjoy the majestic night sky full of stars. I saw more stars in Pundaquit, our drop off point, compare to Nagsasa.

I consider myself lucky to have workmates who were also adrenaline junkies. Endless conversation other than work was a healthy break for all of us.

No calls, paper works, deadlines, meetings and events to arrange, but more on listening to each and everyone's stories, projection on cameras for Instagram-worthy photos, and boozes to finish before dawn (Oh, God bless our liver for that weekend!)

I woke up with a bad hangover, but a bad hangover means a great night so it's pretty worth it.
