In the village called Ra where people never experienced darkness was a lad named Hati lived. Hati was a son of a farmer. Hati has a childhood friend named Leilah, the daughter of the witch Talulah. People were against of their friendship because of Leilah's mother but it didn't stop Hati to become good friends with her. They were inseparable. Leilah had been secretly and deeply in love with Hati but never had the guts to tell him because she was afraid Hati would leave her, the only friend she had.

One sunny day, Leilah and Hati were walking when they saw a pile of village people, consisted of mostly young men, gathered in front of the Mayor's house. Out of curiosity, Hati and Leilah went there to see what were the commotion all about. A family of elite people visited the Mayor's office. People applauded when a young lady came out of the carriage. Her name was Luna. She had a skin white as pearl, eyes that would leave you intoxicated and her hair were white as snow. You could see at Hati's eyes that he was mesmerized by Luna's beauty which made Leilah sad.

Afternoon the next day, Hati was taking a nap beside the river when footsteps woke him up. It was Luna who was sneaking to take a bath in the river. She had the most beautiful eyes that even stars envy. Luna saw Hati, who was now wide awake and apologized for waking him up. Hati said it's okay. Luna asked Hati if he wanted to come over to the water with her. Hati was shy at first but he went in afterward. Then after the bath, they rinsed and began talking. As the conversation went on, Hati felt like he knew Luna for a long time. It was a good day for the both of them. The two fell in love instantly.

Hati went to Leilah's house to tell the story. Leilah smiled bitterly as Hati was filled with excitement while telling what happened that afternoon. It broke Leilah's heart so bad she started crying. Hati stopped and asked her what was wrong. Leilah shook her head and said that it was just tears of joy, that she was too happy she couldn't contain it. Hati hugged Leilah so tight and told her that she was the sweetest friend he ever had.

As Hati and Luna started seeing each other often, Leilah was left alone. Talulah noticed Leilah's sadness. She asked what happened but Leilah kept her mouth closed.

Hati had never been this happy in his entire existence and neither is Luna. They began to explore the woods. Hati and Luna went to the caves and told her the different stories behind those walls.

After the tiring hiking, Hati helped Luna to get up to the tree and sit on one of the branches. Leilah was walking alone carrying woods on her back when she saw Hati and Luna sitting on the branch of the tree. Her eyes were filled with rage for that tree was Leilah and Hati's hiding spot when they were tired of walking through the forest.

Luna was telling about her life back in the city. It was nothing but studies, books and concrete jungle. It was a total opposite of the life she was having that moment. Hati convinced Luna to not leave the village. Luna wanted the same but she had to go back to the city though she didn't want to. Her parents were very strict that she had to sneak out every time Hati would take her to different places. Hati was saddened about this. Luna cried because she didn't want to leave him, she didn't want to go back to her old life. Hati wiped her tears. They looked into each other's eyes and kissed.

Luna dropped one of the woods on her back and ran. Hati saw him and called her but she kept on running. Hati and Luna got off the tree and ran after Leilah. They yelled and yelled but they got no response. After a few minutes, Luna saw Leilah lying on the ground. Leilah slipped and hit her head on a rock. Hati carried her body to her house. Talulah was in her rocking chair when she heard Hati's scream. She hurriedly went outside and saw Hati carrying her daughter's body. Talulah wept as Hati put Leilah to the ground. Talulah's eyes turned white as she touched Leilah's forehead. She saw the cause of her daughter's death. Talulah got furious. Leilah's body disappeared as the sky went jet black that made the villagers of Ra insane thinking it was the end of the world. Talulah cursed the two lovers that they would never be together forever. Talulah turned Luna into a bright rock and sent her to the dark sky to served as a reminder of daughter's dark death. Hati was enraged and attacked Talulah, but she stopped her with her powerful hands. Talulah turned Hati into a wild beast and this would always happen every time Luna, the bright rock, shows itself in the sky.

This is the story behind why werewolves cry every full moon. It's Hati's cry each month for the love he will never touch.
