Silanguin Cove, Zambales Aftermovie

Labor day long weekend was a matic call for the beach. From the original plan to catch waves at Crystal Beach, we ended up to far most cove of Zambales from Pundaquit, Silanguin Cove. I've been eyeing this island since we went to Talisayen exactly last year. It was actually one of the choices, either Talisayen or Silanguin.

Nagsasa boasts the majestic view but Talisayen and Silanguin offer the serenity of nomad life and castaway feels.

It took us more than hour boat ride from Pundaquit. The sea was calm compared to my previous trips in Zambales.

As expected, there weren't many people around. People would rather go to Anawangin and Nagsasa which were the nearest coves from the drop off point. As I saw the set-up (no people, no electricity), first thing came to my mind...STARS!

Entrance fee cost 100php/pax or $2 (ours was covered by our package fee). Our cottage (first photo) cost for only 500php/$10.

We were welcomed by jellyfish bloom!

No worries, they weren't the nasty kind.

Silanguin has waterfall/s and a lake. We didn't bother to check the waterfall, we judge its state based on the lake/river, it was a drought! And the scorching weather wasn't any help at all. One-hour trek under the burning sun? Hmmm, nope.

No one had a decent sleep so these were the partial result! (Sorry, Mervin, but these were priceless, Mr. Sandman! lol) And he wasn't even drunk yet at that time! lol

Maybe the jellyfishes weren't lethal, but this creature was awful as hell!

My friend was stung by sea urchin from that side of the cove. A first we thought she just stepped on one of the pointed rocks until we saw a purple dot on her toe.

Even the local kids told us to pee on the wound so that the spines would dissolve (if that was even true). One of our male friends volunteered since we were teasing him but he was no help when he missed the spot. He even blamed us for missing because we were laughing at them!

Well..uhh... it ended up me donating a glass full of pee. #MARKED

The artists of heaven painted again the sky with stately sunset.

The night was young and so were we. The bonfire was set, drinks were ready, endless conversation throughout the evening. Spending a night on an isolated island with no signal and technology was the highlight of the trip. We were lucky to be with these people with fireworks on the same island. What a night!

I wish my gear was more powerful to captivate what my eyes saw that very moment. I'll never get tired of watching the stars watching over us.

Hangover wasn't so bad. I had a great morning to spend our last day on the island. We enjoyed the sun as much as it enjoyed burning our skin.

Look at these grown-ups!

I'll come back to this little piece of paradise whenever my wallet permits.
