Chapter IV
Leave before it leaves you.
I still feel the knot in my stomach as I take down to the memory lane through the ceiling's crack that I've been staring for more than an hour.
Father flashed a bitter smile to her precious little girl as they sat on the porch watching the sun says its farewell.
"She's gone.", he said.
As the 5-year old girl stares at his father's eyes watching the sunset, there are a lot of questions invading her innocent mind.
"Someday you'll understand, my sweet pea.", he said following a sigh.
As I get up from this bed I forgot whose, I always wonder when will it happen; that "someday" my father talked about. When will I understand why do I long for a missing piece inside of me that no one could fill no matter how they tried, no matter how hard I try?
How many sunsets should I witness before I understand why my mother left us like we don't deserve any explanation.?
Was it satisfying, Mom? Because I always imprint that question to every room I've left, including this one. -She
